Lentz, who baptized Justin and had co-founded a branch of Hillsong in New York City, was fired in late 2020 for what Brian Houston, the church's Global Senior Pastor, described as 'leadership issues and breaches of trust, plus a recent revelation of moral failures,' which Lentz clarified was an extramarital affair.
